Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use Sawazisha, a WhatsApp service operated by John Digital Solutions Limited (“we”, “us”). By tapping “Yes, I agree” or continuing to use Sawazisha, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. What Sawazisha does
Sawazisha helps you keep a record of money received and spent from the M-Pesa messages, notes, invoices and voice notes you send it; matches payments with eTIMS invoices; prepares sales invoice details; guides you onto KRA eTIMS; and produces reports and statements.
2. What Sawazisha does not do
- It is not KRA, Safaricom or Meta, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
- It does not issue official eTIMS invoices on KRA's behalf. You issue invoices yourself through KRA's own channels.
- It does not move money, access your M-Pesa or bank accounts, or log in to KRA for you.
- It does not give tax, legal or financial advice. Consult a qualified tax consultant before making tax decisions or filing returns.
3. Your responsibilities
- Send only information you're entitled to share, and check that your records are correct.
- Keep your own copies of invoices and receipts as required by law.
- Never send your M-Pesa PIN, passwords, card numbers or ID numbers.
- Don't use Sawazisha for anything unlawful, to mislead KRA or anyone else, or to disrupt the service.
4. Accuracy
Sawazisha reads messages and documents automatically, and it can make mistakes — for example with unclear photos, unusual message formats or voice notes. Reports are a tool to help you, not a guarantee. You remain responsible for your records and your tax filings.
5. Trial, plans and payments
New businesses get a free trial (currently 14 days, once per business). After that, Sawazisha Basic costs KES 1,500 per 30 days and Pro costs KES 2,500 per 30 days, paid in advance through Pesapal (M-Pesa or card). We never see your M-Pesa PIN or card details. Pro adds multi-month insights; your own records and monthly statements are never locked behind Pro. There are no automatic charges: we remind you before your plan ends and you choose whether to renew. Paying early adds days to your current plan. If your plan ends, your records are kept and you can renew any time; bookkeeping features pause after a 3-day grace period. If you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days for a refund. Optional services, such as done-with-you setup, are quoted before you agree. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
5a. Partner programme
Partners earn the commission shown on the partner page on payments made by owners they refer, for the period stated there. Commissions become payable after a holding period and are paid to the partner's M-Pesa. We may withhold commissions on refunded, reversed or fraudulent payments, and pause partners who mislead customers or spam.
6. Support
Our team may reply to you directly in the Sawazisha chat when you ask for help. We aim to respond during business hours but can't guarantee response times during the pilot.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Sawazisha available, but it may sometimes be interrupted, including when WhatsApp or other services it depends on are unavailable. We may change, add or remove features.
8. Ending your use
You can stop at any time and send DELETE MY DATA to remove your records. We may suspend access if these terms are broken or to protect the service or other users.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for penalties, interest or tax assessed on you, arising from your use of Sawazisha. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Kenyan consumer law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction.
